Decades of social and traditional behaviours continue violating the rights of women and children. Since August 2021, when hundreds of thousands of people were forced to flee Afghanistan due to unbearable oppression, women scholars and activists have been calling out for an appropriate platform where they can express their concerns and be in direct contact with local and international organizations. A platform which allows them to continue being productive, creative and capable of finding effective solutions in their fields of study, without losing hope.
Women not wanting to stop demanding their dignity, equality and the pursuit of acceptable social policies, strive to realize their dreams as do all the free women of the world except Afghanistan.
After representatives of our organization and women academics visited with Pakistani authorities, it was decided on the initiative of the organizations Europäishces Jugend-und Sozialwerk gGmbH, Afghans Empowered and Generation Outside Afghanistan, to establish a women’s office where they are able to continue their studies and interests, focusing also on reducing and solving the burdens they carry as much as possible.
As we, the three organizations, have been working for years on integrating and empowering refugees in many countries, we find that Pakistan has the potential for integration and empowerment and regaining a new life. We are very pleased in being able to collaborate with every woman and international or local organization for the pursuit of their empowerment and integration, joining our voices together, standing in solidarity and avoiding becoming victims of exploitation.
