Education Support for Afghan Asylum Seekers and Refugee Girls
A Collaboration Between Generation Outside Afghanistan & EJS Youth (Germany)
Since January 2025, Generation Outside Afghanistan, in collaboration with the German-based organization Europäisches Jugend und Sozialwerk gGmbH (EJS Youth), has launched an impactful initiative to support the education of Afghan refugee girls in Quetta, Pakistan—a region where many asylum seekers and refugee families reside in difficult and underserved conditions.
Responding to direct requests from local school principals and educators, our teams began working together to support girls’ access to high school education. This support includes covering tuition costs, providing school supplies, and empowering young girls to continue their learning despite the challenges they face as displaced individuals.
The project is rooted in a shared belief: education is the most powerful tool for refugee empowerment. Our collaboration promotes both academic self-sufficiency and personal motivation, giving young girls the encouragement they need to dream of a better future. This is more than charity—it’s an investment in potential.
The situation for Afghan refugees and asylum seekers in countries like Pakistan remains deeply complex. Many face isolation, limited access to services, and systemic exclusion. At Generation Outside Afghanistan, we work alongside partners like EJS Youth because we know education is not only a right—it’s a necessity for long-term dignity and stability.
This initiative marks just one step in our broader mission: no refugee should be left behind or unheard. We stand with displaced communities and strive to be a voice, a support system, and a bridge to opportunity.
